The saying goes, “what’s in a name?” and while brand names are not Shakespearean prose, “…a good name is better than riches.” Brands can thrive or fail on the merit of a name; Coke, Nike, Apple are examples of iconic brand names that are instantly recognizable, names which represent and adhere to a cohesive vision that defines their company’s mission and culture.

We believe the ALQO name perfectly presents our vision, that of a scalable payment network — ALQO, an acronym for ‘A Liquid Object,’ a nod to the term “liquidity,” the lifeblood of financial markets — on which we aim to build. Retaining the ALQO name is central to our long-term branding; to renew market interest, we have undergone a logo & brand refresh. With it, we highlight the future-facing ambitions of the newly expanded team and ecosystem while retaining the instant recognizability of the ALQO brand.

The new logo builds on the strength of the original A-shape design while more clearly representing the liquidity theme, shown in a calming color palette. The previous logo, inspired by the strongest of geometric shapes, the triangle, remains in the new design. The strength provided by the triangle design permeates through the ALQO ecosystem, a virtue shared with the core team and community, who have persevered in the face of many obstacles.

With our completed brand refresh, we signal to the market, and crypto-industry ALQO is secure, stable, and focused on delivering high-quality blockchain products that further crypto’s adoption and the growth of the ALQO ecosystem. Join us in welcoming a new chapter in ALQO history.
